Bendat Community Centre

loud and proud in a disabled body

Friday 20 November

5pm for 5.30pm performance, followed by sundowner with the cast

The whole community is invited to join us for a ground-breaking live performance, which blows apart typical preconceptions of disability.

Led by neurodiverse performance artist Daley Rangi, Unapologetic is devised and performed by a local troupe of five performing artists with disabilities. This unmissable show is based on real stories of lived experience and fights back against an ableist system. Traversing genre, defying categorisation, and redrawing boundaries, this performance will encompass gender, race, and sexuality as it navigates the disability system.

Ruthless honesty, dark humour, and real traumas will be shared in an attempt to ensure that the future of disability culture is an integrated, inclusive, and intersectional one.
